How the slot works
The setting is a hidden valley of green hills and cherry blossoms, inspired by the lost paradise of James Hilton's 1933 novel Lost Horizon. The grid has 6 reels and 5 rows. A win needs a cluster of at least nine matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically. Some symbols land stacked, which helps big clusters form. NetEnt lists a hit frequency of 20%.
RTP, volatility and max win
NetEnt publishes an RTP of 96.59% and a maximum payout of 800 times the bet. We could not confirm a volatility rating from an official source, so we do not give one; our old page called it low to mid. The modest 800x cap suggests a game built for steady play rather than huge spikes. Over ₹10,000 of bets the theoretical return is ₹9,659.
Bonus features
Sticky Re-Spins
When one symbol appears between 5 and 8 times on the reels, Sticky Re-Spins can start at random. That symbol sticks, the rest re-spin, and only the sticky symbol can win during the feature. It is a way to grow a near-miss into a full cluster.
Random Substitutions
Substitution symbols randomly replace other symbols to create the highest possible win from the current screen.
Nudge Reel
If two Free Spin symbols land and a third stops just outside the visible area, the third can be nudged into view to start free spins. NetEnt notes that the nudge will not trigger if it would change a winning cluster.
Free Spins
Three or more Free Spin symbols, fully or partly visible, give 5 to 8 free spins on an icy mountain. After each spin, 2 to 6 Substitution symbols are added. Before the next spin a dragon removes 1 to 4 of them, but at least two always stay.
Shangri La at Bons
Cluster pays with Sticky Re-Spins and a dragon in the free spins. 18+ only
Tips
- Learn to read clusters in the demo first; it is easy to miss a win that connects around a corner.
- The free spins round is short. Treat it as a bonus, not as the only reason to play.
- A small stake and a time limit suit this calm, low-cap game.
- Never increase your bet to win back losses.
